Designed to Move | La Jolla Remodel
This project was a combination of getting the home ready for sale and the Owner’s vision of how she would have wanted it as if she was going to stay and live there.
By updating the coloring of the walls and the cabinetry throughout, it really modernized the feel of the home and made it more relevant to current styles and buyer desires. We were lucky enough to top this project off with some creative space planning in the master suite and a finished Master bathroom and Powder room that are enviable by any measure.
The master suite was completely transformed by removing two outdated wall closets on either end of the bedroom. The result is a modern Master Bedroom complete with sitting room and walk-in closet. With the extra space we gained we were also able to expand the scale of the Master Bathroom. Custom cabinetry in the bathroom really sets off the design intention. The design incorporated custom floating mirrors in front of the existing window, so we not only saved some money on infrastructure, but the new owners will be able to reap the benefits of both natural light, and a wonderful dual sink layout.
By bringing the custom cabinetry into the powder room at the same time, it was just enough to make the renovations feel like they were not an afterthought and that the whole home was designed as a whole concept.
