First I want to say thank you to Chad and the whole team at COAT inc. for the service you have provided us over the past few years. Since we are a property management company we come across many contractors and see many things. Chad and his team have gone above my expectations and set the bar higher for other contractors when they walk through the door and try and get business.

I am writing this reference because Chad makes my job easier. His detailed invoices make it easier if I have to look up a past job or explain to an owner what was done. His office's communication and organization with the tenant/owner and myself, frees up time for me so I don't have to call people back and forth. His business ethics make me feel comfortable to recommend him to other companies and family members, which says a lot because then it is a reflection upon me if it does not turn out favorably. I am extremely happy with his company's turn times, responsiveness, quality of work, accounting, business ethics, customer service, and most importantly his experience with and how to handle the many situations we come across in property management.

Letter of Recommendation – Chad of All Trades

As a developer of commercial properties throughout Southern California, I have interacted with numerous contractors over the years. Having constructed in excess of three million square feet of commercial projects, I am well aware of contractor commitment and ability in all areas of the construction process. This letter of recommendation should not be taken lightly. I have only written such a letter once in my career.

Short story:

While remodeling my personal residence to surprise my wife who was shortly returning from a hospital stay, my regular contractors of many years ran into scheduling problems. Unable to provide sub-contractors to complete the job, at the recommendation of Gina Salyer, a Coldwell Banker real estate agent who had used Chad of All Trades personally as well as for her clients needs in the past, I called in Chad Arendsen to look over the situation. I had to leave town for a week and it is not like me at all to leave open ended decisions in a contractor’s control. It was important to me to have my wife return with the house completely redone as a sign of my commitment to her to encourage her recovery. I felt very comfortable with Chad from the start so I took a chance and hired him.

Result:

Chad turned the site into Extreme Makeover. Electricians, cabinetmakers, audio specialists, landscapers, floor finishers and workers all pulled together to get the job done. I returned home not expecting to have all the work completed, as I prioritized the tasks. To my surprise, all the work was finished. Audio outside, living room, front and rear yards, master bedroom surround sound, fireplace mantle, bookcases in the living room, bedroom and kitchen eating area, lighting on all of the art work, new landscaping, all done and done right.

It would have been wonderful under normal time frames but to have my home turn out so beautiful in such a short time required an extraordinary effort and commitment by Chad. His dedication and work ethic is his greatest trait. I have complete confidence recommending Chad of All Trades to you. It’s always the man that counts. You can count on Chad and his word.

In 2008, we hired the company called “Chad of All Trades” to build a two-room addition onto to our mobile home. This was not an easy task, and required special knowledge, expertise, and contacts with people at the City Planning Dept. who could help expedite and advise exactly how this unique project could be accomplished. Well, this company was the perfect one to get the job done. They went about it in an unusual way, of contacting the neighbors first, to pave the way for good feelings to prevail, in spite of the tight logistical problems involved with many neighbors living close by. They continued a co-operative spirit of working with the neighbors throughout the arduous job involved. Unfortunately, I became extremely ill during the process, and they made consideration for my health a top priority throughout the three months while the work progressed all around my bedroom, on top of my roof, and even under the house. The gentle, respectful attitude from each and every worker who came to the job was so appreciated and so necessary. I have been in construction myself for more than 40 years, and I am truly amazed by the quality of people who work for this company, their ethics, their ability to get the job done ahead of schedule and efficiently. Oh my gosh! How can I ever thank you for the great work that you did on my house? It looks just great Kody did a great job painting the bedroom and closets. Curt did a fantastic job with all the stripes in the living room plus painting the chair railing and baseboards when there was a change in midstream as the color; Donnie …well he was awesome in installing my door what a horrendous undertaking with walls way out plus the screen works better than ever and the work he did on the chair rail, baseboards and quarter rounds in the Kitchen.
